2023 is apparently going to be a much better year to see those shooting stars as the evening moon will often be nearer to a new moon (so less moon visible) and therefore not shining too brightly which enables you to catch sight of a meteor shower. expected hourly rate (ZHR-Zenithal Hourly Rate) see below:
Lyrids - 16-25th April = 15-20 ZHR
Perseids - 17-24th Aug = 100-150 ZHR
Draconids - 6-10th Oct = 5 ZHR
Orionids - 2 Oct - 7th Nov = 20 ZHR
Leonids - 6-30th Nov = 10-15 ZHR
Geminids - 7-17th Dec = 150 ZHR
'Don't Miss'......#14th & 15th Feb don't miss our dimmest and brightest planets (Venus & Neptune) very close together in the evening sky.
